This past weekend I took my grandsons Adam and Cole and my mom and Nichole to Kansas City to the TRex Cafe! Can you say way cool. Adam was in heaven. His eyes lit up and he could not stop talking. It was precious. See he wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up. He is quite serious and he reads and watches anything and everything that has to do with dinosaurs.
We all had a blast. It was a long drive 6 hours one way. But it was worth it.
When we left Kansas City we went to a "breeder" in Missouri and picked up a Toy Yorkie for my mom. She is 2 years old and weighs 4.2 pounds she is adorable. The sad part of that story is I found her on the Internet. (I know I should have known better right). She was $200 I kept thinking this is too good to be true. I learned that you should go with your instinct. The story I was told about her when I called this Kennel was that I was adopting her and rescuing her. Well sadly I was rescuing her as it turns out. However I was rescuing her from the place I got her. The woman's story just did not make sense for me. When I got home and took "Bria" to my vet. He gave her a clean bill of health thank God, but he said where is her rabies certification from the Vet?. Well turns out, this woman advised me over the phone yesterday that she gives her own Rabies vaccinations which is a federal offense. You cannot even buy rabies vaccine according to my vet. So to make my long story short. I was at a puppy mill in the hills of Missouri. It was an awful experience, once I found out about this women and her operation when I got home. I googled her kennel and they have had all sorts of problems and complaints dating back to 2003.
Live and learn, thank the lord "Bria" seems to be healthy physically. It is her little personality that we will have to love and cherish and hopefully bring back from the brink of lost. When you look in her beautiful little black eyes you wonder and imagine all the horrible things that she has seen and witnessed in her short life.
I am thankful that I was able to save her from that existence.
As for my weight loss I had a great weekend food wise. I lost 4 pounds. I was so happy about that.
Glad to be home, but not so happy to be back at work. I need a longer vacation soon.
