Surgery scheduled......Band Removal Only

I have my plan, even though it is not what I had hoped would have happened today.  I am scheduled to have my band removed on Monday morning at 8am.  No revision at this time.  Dr. Marshall advised me that he was going to have Dr. Debord remove the band, since he is my surgeon.  That he was no comfortable doing the revision at this time, since I am still in pain.  He wants to make sure that the pain resolves before he considers revision.

I sort of feel like he went back on everything he had been talking to me about, but I in no way want someone doing surgery on me who doesn't want to either.  I love Dr. Debord he will be floored to see me in the OR.  The last time I saw him was on the 7th of February when all was great!  The next morning all hell broke loose for my band.

Dr. Marshall did not say we would NOT do the revision he just said not right now.  I am ok with that, I am holding onto something one of me beloved BOOBS posted to me on Facebook.  This is not all about the BAND!  I have lived banded live for nearly five years, I know how to eat, and what to eat, I also know that exercise is the KEY!  So I have to focus, I will NOT gain this weight back I refuse.

I wanted to let everyone know.  This is what is happening.  He told me that my esophagus shows that my band was too tight and that is more than likely why all of this is happening.  I have been unfilled for three weeks and still having issues.  So time for removal.

I will try to stay calm and keep updating here.  I hope it is not wrong for me to continue to blog in a community that is about being banded, when I will no longer have a band.  I believe you all love me, no matter what!

Band or no band you'll always be a BOOB! Hang in there and trust the process. I'm sure they want to see what things look like in there before they start messing around more. You can do this, just concentrate on getting better. Big Hug!!!

Hang in there sweetie, I am glad that you will soon feel better and be able to heal. HUGS! :)

A band isn't what makes a BOOB a BOOB. I'd like to think I'm one even though I've never gone to the Chicago gathering and have never even met another blogger in "real life." However, we're your friends...real friend and just want what's best for you and that's a PAIN FREE existence. Good luck with the surgery!

We are more than our band so you will aways be a BOOB. Now...I'm glad that there is a plan in place. Allow yurself some time to heal and then you can have your revision done. We just want you to feel better.

You will stay in control. I have faith in you. Keep blogging so that you stay accountable.

Kristin, you are an inspiration - and I'm so proud of you for working to figure out your health and take the steps needed to make sure you're okay. You are so supportive of everyone in this community, and I hope you can feel the love and support we're all sending right back to you!

Your priority right now is getting to the point of no pain, then working toward your next step. And you stay right here, young lady!

Kristin - I'm so sorry this happened, but you sound like you have a good plan in place. Remember you did the work to lose the weight - the band just helped a little. You better keep blogging! I'd miss you.

I'm a band less boob! I think it's a good idea that they aren't doing the revision now in light of the fact that theybknownthe band was too tight. Give it time to heal than get the revision. You had "help" from your band, that is all. You did the hard work because let's face it, you could have easily gained weight with your band as easilybasbyublost it. I know you can continue to maintain!

I am sorry about the surgery. My thought have been with you.
I do not beelive eveyone is banded. I believe everyone is working on their weight and their personal happiness.
You just need to work on feeling better and then you can ge the revision.

Aww...I'll be sending you all the good vibes on Monday! I'm so sorry you have to go though this.

It's about the bond not the band that makes you a BOOB. Never worry about that!

XO!

We talked about this. One step at a time.....probably the best decision in the long run. Hoping that you will be out of pain soon.
