Update on Band Dilema
I saw the surgeon a little bit ago, he wants me to have an endoscopy done to see what is happening in my esophagus and stomach. He believes that the ulcers are back. He also, talked to me at length to revising to RNY or gastric Bypass. I do not want to do that I do not think.
I did talk to him about the sleeve, and he has some concerns with leakage with the sleeve and wanted me to be very aware of them. So, I have some thinking and researching to do it sounds like.
I thank you all for your concern and emails, I will need you now more than ever. I have been vomiting today, and feel really sick. The pain in my chest is searing and feels like a hot poker between my breasts, just as Angie had described to me that hers felt like. The golf ball sensation is also still there.
So another chapter will be written in my journey once the scope is done. Right now all I know, is I want and need this pain to end, I cannot stand it.
I see the GI Dr in the morning at 10:40 to schedule the scope. I will keep you updated.

I'm so sorry to hear all this, but ultimately the decision is yours. Research the sleeve and trust your gut (sorry, but I am not a fan of Bypass and have good reasons why) but we are all hear for you, hon!
What a bummer. My surgeon is a huge fan of gastric bypass but not the sleeve. Jacquie and another friend of mine had the sleeve and are doing great. Do what you are most comfortable with and I hope you are feeling better soon!
I am so sorry about your troubles. I have a sleeve and love it. I wouldn't have gotten a bypass at all. That was just my choice though. Good luck, I hope it all works out for you!!!
Oh, I'm so sorry! I'll keep you in my thoughts and pray that it works out for the best, whatever that may be. Hugs
Keeping you in my thoughts, and sending positive thoughts. I hope everything gets resolved with this scope, and that you can get some relief from the pain.
I'm so sorry. Do your research and do what is right for you! I hope you feel better very soon!!
Oh, my dear, I'm very sorry to hear this update. But you know what? You know your body best - trust yourself and do your homework and I'm confident that you'll come to the best decision for YOU.
Holding you in a warm, healing light :)
Research, research, research! I am here if you need to talk. Leakage is something thT will happen immediately, within a few days, once past that you will be fine!
hey girl! new follower here! I am trying to round up the most BOOBS attendees I can and follow them so I know a little bit about ya'll by the time september rolls around!
I am getting a revision in a couple months from the band to the sleeve, I am so excited. Thankfully, my decision isn't due to complications like you're having, and I am so sorry you're having to deal with that! :(

I'm so sorry you're still in such pain and it sounds like it's getting worse. Do your research and then do what's right for YOU. Every WLS comes with pros and cons. Just gotta weigh it all out. You've got great resources around here to help. Thinking of you ((HUGS))
You are in my thoughts!!
Do whats best for you... you know your body best.

Sending you positive vibes and please make the best decision for YOU. There are lots of Bypass and Sleeve bloggers out there that can give you perspectives. Hang in there sweetie :)
Sending you good vibes this morning. Update us as soon as you can! And I'd get a second opinion about the sleeve.
